Our CTC Youth Program is expanding! As our Girl’s for Tri athletes head into their fourth year, we are morphing into a co-ed Youth program with a bunch of new boys ages 11-18 joining us.

We are very fortunate to have at least three certified coaches leading the program this year as I will be joined by Bruno Martins and Ed Rusk to handle our expansion.

We have the most phenomenal group of parents and will often be joined again by Katie Schumacher. The Girls for Tri Team that Katie started in 2016 has served at least 20 girls and it’s been incredible watch many of our original members evolve into confident young women and accomplished athletes. We currently have eight returning girls and two new ones so far this season.

Our kids now have the resources to advance at a rate that suits them best as individuals with no limits on their growth. Some of our athletes have their sights on Nationals and some are starting to look at possible scholarships at the growing number of colleges offering NCAA Triathlon programs, which is set to grow to 40 schools in the next couple of years. Others are just starting out and want to make friends and have fun doing something fun and healthy.

There has been some interest in a weekly swim/bike/run summer activity for kids ages 6-10. If we get enough parent commitment, we can make that happen too!

Anyone interested in joining or volunteering, please  contact me at Lorrainehurley4@gmail.com.

It’s going to be our best season yet!
