Amelia Badeau
VICE PRESIDENT
Amelia is an endurance athlete with 10 years of racing experience, including finishing the 2023 Triple Crown Ultra Swim (while pregnant), IM Chattanooga 144.6 in 2022, a 55K ultramarathon in 2023, and several 70.3 Ironman and marathon races. But beyond the miles and medals, what she values most are the lasting relationships built along the way.
When not training, Amelia enjoys quilting, paddleboarding, crafting for markets, and spending time with her amazing husband and their two little ones (3 years and 9 months). She’s excited to be part of this incredible community and help take the club to a whole new level of amazing!
-
Rachel Mercer
COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Rachel completed her first triathlon in 2024, and thanks to the support and influence of many in the Club, went from 70.3 to 140.6 in the span of a season. She grew up swimming, and started running in 2019 and has raced distances ranging from 5K to 55K.
She is originally from Atlanta, but has called Chattanooga home for the last decade. When not training, she enjoys spending time paddling, mountain biking, backpacking and traveling with her partner Justin and 2 Vizslas, Atlas, and Legend.
So many people within the Club community made this sport accessible for her as a newbie, and she joined the board to help give back to the community that has given her so much.
-
Lee Tomlin
SPONSORSHIPS
Lee started training for triathlon at the beginning of 2023 and completed his first two triathlons that same year: 70.3 Chattanooga and Ironman Chattanooga. Since then he has completed IM Chattanooga a second time and multiple 70.3 and Olympic distance races.
As a US Army Veteran that came from a military family, constant travel was normal for most of his life. But he has called Chattanooga home for over 15 years now. Running in the Army is where it started for Lee, and he still believes that the best runs are the ones done in the worst weather to test one's mental skills.
When not training, Lee enjoys spending time outdoors, preferably in the mountains backpacking, and spending time with his daughter and their 2 dogs. Lee joined the Board as a way to give back to the triathlon community and encourage others to take part in our wonderful sport.
